Drake and Future are two of the biggest names in the music industry. The veteran musicians recently set a new record with their Summer Sixteen Tour today. Drizzy and Hendrix’s tour was named the highest-grossing hip-hop tour of all time after aggregating ticket sales from 2016.

According to Pollstar Pro, Drake and Future’s tour grossed more than $84.3 million between July and October of 2016. The dynamic rappers dethroned previous record-holders Jay-Z and Kanye West with their 2012 Watch the Throne Tour, which earned $75.6 million from October 2011 to June 2012.

Apple Music produced the Summer Sixteen tour in promotion of Drake’s fourth album, Views, as well as Future’s fourth project, Evol. Both musicians performed songs from their 2015 joint mixtape, What a Time to Be Alive. Several big-name superstars made surprise guest appearances on the tour, including Kanye West, who joined the WATTBA partners on stage in Chicago on July 28, 2016.

Drake and Future headlined a four-night residency at Madison Square Garden in August of that year, attracting a plethora of superstars. Rappers Fat Joe, Remy Ma, A$AP Ferg, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, T.I., Dipset, and J. Cole all performed on the bill. Meanwhile, Future brought out Young Thug for the first time to show the world their reunion.

Lil Wayne joined the 6 God in Philadelphia, then again with Bun B in Houston. Rihanna and DJ Khaled performed with Drizzy and Hendrix at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. From coast to coast, the Summer Sixteen tour was a star-studded affair. You can watch the video below.
