The world of professional football is an unforgiving one, as anyone could suffer an injury at any point. This is because it is an extremely physical sport and injuries are commonplace. That is what happened recently as Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl Josh Sweat suffered a nasty injury during a recent game.
The whole Philadelphia Eagles’ sideline made their way to check up on Josh Sweat, as he was stretchered off the field early in the first quarter on Sunday after suffering a neck injury.
Fans feared the worst for him, but thankfully, it was revealed by the team that Sweat was transported to a local hospital and maintained movement in all his extremities.
Sweat was injured on the opening scoring drive for the New Orleans Saints, a 15-play drive that went 75 yards. Sweat was trying to make a tackle on running back Alvin Kamara when Ndamukong Suh landed awkwardly on his neck and shoulder area.
Sweat was down motionless for a few seconds, then lifted his hands and fingers to show he had movement. Nonetheless, it was a very scary moment for fans and teammates alike. We will keep you updated on his condition right here at Thirsty For News.
