Kim Kardashian wasn’t ready to allow something as insignificant as being unable to land a plane to ruin her 42nd birthday. On Saturday, Oct. 22, the reality star and beauty mogul said on her Instagram Stories that she was flying on Kylie Jenner’s private aircraft to Las Vegas to celebrate her birthday when wind conditions caused her to turn around and land in Los Angeles.

Kim Kardashian and her posse were forced to spend her 42nd birthday celebration at an In-N-Out Burger in Los Angeles over the weekend instead of dining at Carbone in Las Vegas and “going to an f-king Usher concert.” The reality star-turned-billionaire business magnate was expected to spend Saturday night at Park MGM dining on high-end Italian cuisine and partying to the Grammy winner’s greatest hits at his Dolby Live residency.

None of this occurred because, while en route to Sin City aboard her sister Kylie Jenner’s $72 million private jet, Kardashian was informed that the pilot was unlikely to land safely owing to extreme weather conditions, which included wind gusts of up to 60 mph. “The plane couldn’t land due to the wind so looks like our Carbone party and @usher concert isn’t happening and we are heading back home,” Kardashian explained via an Instagram Story.

After landing in Los Angeles, the “Kardashians” star and her entourage, which included sister Khloé Kardashian and a camera crew, dined at In-N-Out Burger. Kim, who was dressed in a silver bikini top and matching pants similar to her 2017 Aaliyah Halloween costume, informed her Instagram followers that she “had to take a boa to cover up” before entering the fast-food establishment.

As the restaurant employee accepted her order, the Skims creator recorded herself wearing the white feathers around her neck. “We stopped at In-N-Out because we couldn’t make it to Carbone in Vegas,” Kim said in another video while panning over to Khloé Kardashian, who flashed a peace sign.

“Mmm, so good,” the Skkn by Kim founder exclaimed after biting into her burger. “Wait, lemme try a cheese fry. I wanna see what all this hype is about,” someone off-camera said, prompting Kim to interject, “They’re so good.” Back aboard “the party bus to nowhere,” the Jell-O shots Kim and her crew were previously enjoying “continued.”

Meanwhile, Kim’s huge Vegas weekend plans weren’t the only ones that got wrecked. The first day of performances at the When We Were Young music festival had to be canceled due to extreme weather conditions. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
