The movie Matilda The Musical will portray the story of an extraordinary little child. The movie’s release date, which had been eagerly anticipated by fans, has finally been announced – November 25. Recently, a new look at iconic Matilda scenes was revealed in the trailer for the musical Matilda.

Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical has a full-length trailer available on Netflix. The planned musical fantasy film, directed by dramatist Matthew Warchus from a screenplay by Dennis Kelly, is based on both the musical adaption and Dahl’s 1988 children’s book of the same name.

This is the second film based on the source material, the first being Danny DeVito’s cult classic Matilda from 1996, which starred Mara Wilson in the title role. The new film, like the book and the musical, tells the tale of Matilda (Alisha Weir), a voracious reader and the neglected child of the Wormwood family, who finds comfort and acceptance in Miss Jennifer Honey, her kindergarten teacher (Lashana Lynch).

When Matilda stands up to her controlling parents and oppressive headmistress Miss Trunchbull, her telekinetic abilities, and creative imagination come in handy (Emma Thompson). A deeper look at the film is now available for spectators to enjoy after it made its international premiere at the BFI London Film Festival to rousing praise.
