Dak Prescott found himself embroiled in controversy in January following his Dallas Cowboys’ playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The Dallas quarterback was enraged by the game’s outcome and blamed it entirely on the refs. He even praised supporters who threw beer bottles and other debris at them. Now it looks like his karma is catching up with him.

On Sunday night, Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys got off to a shaky start in the NFL, losing 19-3 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was not the start the team had hoped for, and it was especially upsetting for Prescott, who injured his thumb and was forced to leave the game early.

Jerry Jones confirmed to reporters after the game that Prescott will require hand surgery to fix the thumb on his throwing hand. It was a very disappointing update for the franchise. Prescott will now be out for up to a month while he recovers from what happened.

Cowboys supporters were not very kind to Dak when he first hurt his thumb. The supporters can be seen throwing garbage at Prescott as he runs off the field. This was especially heinous in light of Dak’s injury at the time.
