John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. Cena eventually became a part-timer due to his Hollywood obligations as well. He also addressed rumors about having a fallout with a WWE Superstar.
R-Truth has seen a career resurgence over the past few years. He is currently on his second run with the company, having first joined WWE twenty years ago. Following his first departure from WWE, he worked in TNA.
Some reports in the early 2000s had suggested that John Cena and R-Truth had a public fallout at an airport. Truth was a part of TNA when rumors of his beef with Cena circulated in the community.
While speaking on the Nothing Beats Experience show, R-Truth recalled his initial conversation with John Cena after R-Truth came back to WWE back in 2008. Cena addressed the rumors of his beef with R-Truth as well.
“When I signed back to the company, Cena was the big dog and everybody was waiting for us to meet face-to-face. Everybody was waiting, knew I signed back. The boys are so crazy, man. Umaga, RIP Umaga, man, he got me to come back and even he was in the locker room.
When I got to the locker room, all of the boys were sitting down just watching. Cena was in the bathroom. So, when I came in I didn’t notice. They’re all sitting there waiting. When he came in, he looked, he said, ‘We not gonna have any problems, are we?’ I said, ‘Man, hell no. I’m on your ship.”
John Cena is likely to be engaged in a program with Austin Theory ahead of WrestleMania 39 next year, but that all has to do with his busy schedule. We will have to wait and see when they will begin their feud. Obviously, the WWE locker room would love to have Cena back.
