The demise of Queen Elizabeth II remains unfathomable in the country. Queen passed on September 8th, leaving everyone in grief. However, a post caused confusion throughout the country. Fans of Queen Latifah believed she had died rather than Queen Elizabeth II.

The death of Queen Elizabeth II caused consternation in America since many people were purportedly wiping away tears thinking another queen had died.

According to Hip-HopDX, Queen Latifah has been trending for more than a day because many people believed she was the one who died. Consider this: if you were playing “Family Feud” and the clue was “Most Famous Queen,” the obvious answer would be Queen Elizabeth II, but Latifah would come in a close second.

The whole ordeal or miscommunication started when someone posted, “I told my mum the Queen died, she talking about ‘LATIFAH????'” It turned into a telephone game, and the rumor spread like wildfire.

Another group attempted to convince the terrified that the beloved 52-year-old actress/rapper was fine. Latifah once told James Corden that following her 1996 hit “Set it Off,” she placed a “no death” clause in her acting contracts so she wouldn’t be killed off in future movies.

“When I first started doing movies, I always had these death scenes … and apparently I died too well. And then I caught on, like wait a minute, if I die in these movies, I can’t be in the sequel!”

The loss of Queen Elizabeth II has brought the entire nation to its knees. Every citizen’s heart will always remain with Queen Elizabeth II. Did you get mixed up with Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Latifa? Stay tuned to Thirsty for more information.
