Matt Riddle wasted no time in becoming a highlight of WWE television after transitioning from the UFC to pro wrestling. His in-ring skills and chill character work have helped him gain fanfare. WWE was also criticized for using Matt Riddle’s personal life in his storyline with Seth Rollins.
Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle have been engaged in a very intense rivalry for the past couple of months. During this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Seth Rollins took a shot at Riddle’s real-life divorce during a heated interview segment on the show.
“You want to talk about family? Let’s talk about your family since you have none anymore. Your Wife divorced you and took the kids leaving ya bitch ass.”
While speaking on his pocast, To Be The Man, Ric Flair was asked about Rollins taking a shot at Riddle’s personal life. Flair then proceeded to blast WWE for using Matt Riddle’s personal life in the storyline.
“You know how I feel about personal things, I mean, Eric used to say stuff about me and bringing up my personal life. I didn’t like it then and knowing full well that Matt Riddle can beat the sh*t out of Seth Rollins, I don’t like it. If they went backstage, you and I both know what would happen. Hell, Matt Riddle, he’s not afraid of Brock, so I don’t know how I feel about these personal comments.”
Matt Riddle will be squaring off against Seth Rollins at WWE Clash at the Castle. We will have to wait and see which Superstar will come out on top in the match, as it is certainly a highly anticipated matchup.
