Shaquille O’Neal was a beast during his NBA days, and there’s no arguing that. The big man is widely considered to be one of the most dominant basketball players of all time. Shaquille O’Neal also continues to doubt if the Earth is round.

The NBA Hall of Famer recently appeared for an interview on The Kyle & Jackie O Show. Shaq was questioned about if he still held to his divisive views from 2017. He then quipped in with some of his theories to explain co-hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie Henderson on why he thinks the Earth is flat.

The athlete went on to elaborate, using a recent flight he had taken from the US to Australia as an illustration. Then, Sandilands enquired as to how a person could traverse the globe in various directions. O’Neal retorted that it’s still a straight line and you don’t go under.

It’s a theory. It’s just a theory, they teach us a lot of things. I flew 20 hours today, not once did I go this way. I flew straight. It’s still a straight line, you don’t go under. It’s just a theory. It’s a conspiracy theory.

You know they say the world is spinning? I’ve been living on a house on a lake for 30 years, not once did the lake rotate to the left or right. I like listening to theories. It’s not about figuring them out, or he’s wrong or he’s right — it’s just a theory.

Of course, scientists would counter that they have long established that the Earth is round and rotates around the Sun in the solar system. O’Neal is at the moment giving a speech in Australia, also referred to as the Land Down Under. Check out the video below.
