Kevin Durant remains one of the biggest names in the game, and that doesn’t seem to be ending any time soon. He is capturing headlines due to his rocky relationships with the Nets, but retiring is not happening.

KD set the record straight about rumors that he is calling it quits. He’s not hanging up his sneakers at all, in fact, the rumors attached to his trade request simply isn’t true.

Durant jumped on Twitter, and he made it very clear that he intends to keep up the game. This tweet came during a time when his name was churning in the rumor mill like nobody’s business.

I know most people will believe unnamed sources over me but if it’s anyone out there that’ll listen, I don’t plan on retiring anytime soon. Sh*t is comical at this point.

We’ll have to see what the future holds for Kevin Durant. He is obviously still a prime player, and many teams could be interested in his services. It seems that he finds the idea of giving up the game as basketball as a comical one.

With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
