NBA star Zion Williamson has already made quite the name for himself in the league. Being just 22 years old, the basketball star became the 4th youngest NBA player to be chosen for an All-star game. While he continues to climb the ranks, his new contract may’ve put some unnecessary weight on his shoulders.

According to TMZ, the young NBA star’s new contract requires him to maintain a certain weight and body percentage. Although his contract is worth an impressive $231 million, for Williamson to honor the agreement, he has to stay below 295 pounds. If he can’t, he’ll have to pay it forward. The amount of the fine was not disclosed in the report, but it’s likely a huge one. Right now, he weighs 284 pounds, so let’s hope he keeps in check.

Christian Clark of Nola.com reported that Williamson’s money could be taken from him if it’s found that he’s gained a significant amount of weight. The report also stated that he would submit to weigh-ins throughout his contract.

The young basketball star’s weight has been an issue since 2019. He’s reportedly training to get into shape for the upcoming season. Only time will tell if the pressure becomes too heavy for him.
