AEW brought some star power to last night’s episode of Dynamite. During Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland’s tag team championship celebration, Swerve brought out a heavy hitter from the world of rap music. Kevin Gates not only made a guest appearance, but he also got involved physically.

“Smart” Mark Sterling came out to ruin the fun along with Tony Nese. The two tried to get Kevin Gates to sign their petition to remove Swerve Strickland from the roster. Gates then jumped the barricade at ringside and knocked Nese to the floor with a right hand.

After the show, Sonjay Dutt took to Twitter to share a picture with Kevin Gates. One of AEW’s more “old-school” stars didn’t seem impressed. Dax Harwood poked some fun at Gates in his response.

“Bruh, it ain’t like he’s Bobby Eaton or something!”

Bobby Eaton worked in wrestling in Atlanta for a very long time. He wrestled on the Turner networks for decades. Sadly, Eaton passed away last August.

Dax Harwood would rather meet one of the legends of Atlanta wrestling than a rap star. Kevin Gates did make a good showing for himself, as he took out Tony Nese in a single punch. Dax would rather meet Beautiful Bobby any day.
