Tragedy struck Netflix recently when a horrific car crash resulted in the death of two actors on the set of ‘The Chosen One.’ Crews were filming the show in Mexico when performers and crew members wrecked near the Baja Peninsula. Netflix has now addressed the horrible incident.

The streaming giant released a statement to Fox News Digital. The company said their thoughts are with the loved ones of Ray Garduño and Juan Francisco González, who were killed in the accident. Netflix did not go into further details.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic accident that took the lives of Ray Garduño and Juan Francisco González. Our thoughts are with their loved ones and with those injured during this unfortunate accident.”

‘The Chosen One’ is being produced by Redrum. They also released a statement about the actors’ deaths. Redrum noted that the accident occurred while the actors were being transported from the local airport in Santa Rosalia.

Redrum is cooperating with local employees. Their statement pointed out that all safety protocols were in place. They are calling the fatal crash an “unfortunate accident.”

There is no word on how the wreck will impact the production of ‘The Chosen One.’ At this time, Netflix likely does not believe it would be appropriate to comment. Time will tell whether the show goes on after the fatal accident.
