Playboi Carti debuted his mixtape in 2017 and instantly became a hot commodity in the rap industry. His singles “Magnolia” and “Woke Up Like This” made their way to Billboard top 100 list. While Playboi Carti’s shows usual come with a lot of energy from the crowd, a recent incident involving Playboi Carti’s guitarist might’ve made a few of his fans think twice before attending a show of his.

During the middle of performing his hit song “Shoota” at the Primavera Sound Musical Festival, Playboi Carti apparently headed over to his guitarist, grabbed him, and threw him to the ground. This incident went viral in a hurry.

While there have certainly been more devastating musical live performances in the past, there’s something to be said for throwing your guitarist to the ground in front of a packed house. Those in attendance questioned the move while others went wild. You can check out the video below.

GQ once labeled Playboi Carti as “the leader of the youth style.” It remains to be seen whether the rapper will face any consequences because of this, but odds are Playboi Carti and his guitarist have at least had the words about him being a leader.

Obviously, no charges were filed, but we haven’t heard from the guitarist yet either. Hopefully, Carti at least cut him a decent bonus check after the performance.
