Johnny Depp is a winner, even if he winds up losing his $50 million defamation suit with ex-wife Amber Heard. Depp’s popularity is at an all-time high as fans continue to support his side of the case. Before the trial got underway and the public had a chance to form their own opinion, many companies dropped Johnny Depp as a spokesperson.

One brand that stuck with Johnny Depp was Dior. Johnny has been the face of Dior Sauvage since 2015. A recent story in Marie Claire noted that a bottle of Sauvage sells every three seconds.

At the time Dior decided to stick with Depp, it seemed like a controversial move. Many wondered why they would bother. As Twitter user John Pompliano calculated, there are 4.5 million reasons a day for the decision.

“Despite most labels dropping Johnny Depp, @Dior decided to stick with him.

Why?

They sell a bottle of his fragrance ‘Sauvage’ every 3 seconds. At $160 a bottle, that’s over $4.5 million a day in sales”

The trial itself seems to be leaning heavily in Johnny Depp’s favor. His popularity has only grown with every day of wild testimony. Dior appears to have made a very wise decision in sticking with Johnny Depp.
