Tragedy struck an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas yesterday. A gunman opened fire on unsuspecting students and staff at Robb Elementary school, leaving 19 children and 2 adults dead. The massacre has once again sparked debate on how to end this type of horrific violence.

CBS was forced to pull the season finale of the hit series ‘FBI’ in the wake of the shooting. According to Variety, the final episode was axed because the storyline involved a school shooting. According to the official synopsis for the episode, the content hit a little too close to reality for CBS to air.

“As the team investigates a deadly robbery that garnered a cache of automatic weapons for the killers, they discover one of the perps is a classmate of Jubal’s son, who is reluctant to cooperate with the case.”

In place of the controversial episode, CBS aired a re-run. It is unknown if the network plans to reschedule the airing of the episode. It may ultimately be shelved forever.
