The world is not over COVID-19 by a long shot. Despite the fact that vaccines exist that virus, positive cases are still popping up all over. This caused “Weird Al” Yankovic to change plans for a few shows on his current tour.

As he awaits an epic biopic starring Daniel Radcliffe, Weird Al was on the road playing shows or his devoted fans. Then a positive COVID-19 case derailed everything. Thankfully, the treasured comedy singer is okay and testing negative now. That means the tour can resume.

I’m testing negative, back to 100% and ready to rock – so the tour will resume Tuesday in Milwaukee. Thanks so much for all the well-wishes, and sincerely apologies to everybody whose show now needs to be re-scheduled.

No tour dates were cancelled, but they were re-scheduled. Hopefully all of the fans who had tickets to those Weird Al shows will still get to attend and enjoy the American treasure live in concert.

H Jenkins

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
