John Legend Reveals His Ultimate Goal When Teaming With Kanye West

Kanye West has established himself as a true genius for many fans when it comes to being a businessman as well as an artist. It is hard to argue with that fact as West has proven on numerous occasions why he is one of the best ever. He has worked with many stars throughout his career, including John Legend.

While they might no longer be as close as they used to, John Legend has the utmost love and respect for Kanye West. When Legend started his career, Kanye West had a huge hand to play in establishing him as a musician.

Kanye West and John Legend became everyone’s favorite duo at one point in time. While speaking with Eddie Francis for Apple 1 Music this week, John Legend recalled his time working with Kanye West.

Legend said that he and West brought hip hop and soul together in the music industry. He also mentioned that those early days were also the catalyst to his working, collaborative relationships with other rappers.

“I’ve just been collaborating with so many dope artists throughout my career. I started with Kanye at G.O.O.D. Music and our whole thing was bringing Hip Hop and Soul together.

I was on a lot of [Kanye’s] tracks… A lot of tracks he was producing for other people.” Still, West made time to work on Legend’s 2004 debut album, Get Lifted. “He was producing my tracks and connecting me with other people in Hip Hop so there’s always been a lot of collaborations in my background.

John Legend has also established himself as one of the best musicians in the industry and he owes it to Kanye for a large part. Kanye West is busy with his own projects and also with his girlfriend Chaney Jones. We’ll have to see what’s next in store for both of them.
