Pete Davidson is arguably the most famous member of the SNL cast, especially since he started dating Kim Kardashian. Now he is expected to leave Saturday Night Live this week, according to reports.

A source told Variety that Davidson is going to quit the show after the Season 47 finale on Saturday, which is going to be hosted by Natasha Lyonne. He has been on the show for eight years, but nothing great lasts forever.

Davidson first joined the show in 2014 when he was just 20-years-old. He was one of the youngest cast members and was quite the star in the long-running series.

He then made his way towards stardom with popular quest appearances on “Weekend Update,” movie roles, Netflix specials, and a few high-profile relationships, including Ariana Grande and Kim Kardashian, who he is currently dating.

Davidson has been dropping hints he is all set to leave the show for a while. He told Charlamagne Tha God in February 2020 that had been “having conversations” about when to leave the show but he was not sure since he did not want to leave the show too early.

Also, in October 2021, when Season 47 began he said during a “Weekend Update” segment, “I can’t believe I’m back.” In more recent memory, some of his castmates felt abandoned after he missed the 7th episode in a row.

Though Davidson is likely leaving the show, he is supposed to continue to have ties with Broadway video, which is the production company responsible for “Saturday Night Live.” Skete might leave SNL, but he won’t be out of the public eye by a long shot.
