Cardi B has worked hard to establish herself as one of the best female rappers in the hip-hop industry. Her music continues to connect with people and inspire generations as well. She also explained why she always talks about politics in general.
The next season of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction features David Letterman catching up with celebrities. A clip of his interview with Cardi B has been shared on Netflix already.
In the clip, Letterman gave Cardi B props for her political and social activism. Letterman was impressed by Cardi’s ability to shift “the way people feel and think not only about themselves but about the problems of the world at large.”
Cardi B then explained why she talks about politics on her platforms. The rapper claimed that she has a responsibility to talk about all the difficult topics, including politics.
“You might think that people are not looking, but they are. I mean, I’m a hood chick, and I’m from the Bronx. A lot of people relate to me and follow me because they want to see how I’m dressed, they want to see my lifestyle. I feel like I have a responsibility to also share to them like, ‘Hey, while you here and you’re checking my outfit and checking my music, check out what’s going on over here in this part of the world.'”
Cardi B is also regretting her recent unfollowing spree. She also blasted a club for mistaking her for Nicki Minaj. We’ll have to see what is next in store for the rapper as fans are excited no matter what she does.
