RHOSLC’S Jennifer Shah Desperate To Have Her Fraud Court Case Begin

Jennifer Shah is well-known for her role in the reality television show The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. The Star is now embroiled in a fraud case, although it does not appear to be moving as fast as she would prefer. Jennifer is now desperate, telling a federal judge to hear her case this summer or find another judge who can.

According to Radar Online, Jennifer Shah and her attorney are seeking that her fraud trial be held this summer; and that if the current judge is unable to do so, then someone else should be assigned. Priya Chaudhry, a lawyer representing one of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s stars, filed the request to a federal court judge this week. The trial is currently scheduled to begin on July 11th.

According to the court records, the proceedings are expected to last roughly a month, although they may not begin at all due to the court’s schedule. The lawyer is now asking the judge to hear the case as planned or to locate a judge who can hear it during the summer.

A co-defendant has already received a six-year prison sentence for his role in the scheme. Shah’s lawyer stated that the reality television star was detained in March 2021 and that her trial was originally scheduled for October of that year. It has been postponed twice, first to March 2022 and then to July 2022, due to COVID-19 issues and then courtroom availability.

“Though Ms. Shah is not in custody the continued long delays in her trial date have been extremely difficult for her and her family and have presented an undue hardship.”

Chaudhry further indicated that she works for a small law firm and has been unable to schedule other trials due to the Shah case. According to the letter, part of the trial preparation involved reviewing millions of documents supplied as evidence. Shah and her counsel requested that the case be assigned to a different judge if the designated judge is unable to hear it in July.
