Machine Gun Kelly is renowned in the world of music, for better or worse. The musician also branched out to other forms of media, which also includes movies. In fact, he and Mod Sun directed a movie named ‘Good Mourning’ and the film is slated to release soon. Kelly also explained why he wasn’t able to get Drake to act in his upcoming film.
The premiere for the upcoming film is almost upon us and due to this, Kelly has revealed a lot of details about the film. This includes scrapped plans for Drake to portray the role of ‘Fake Drake’ in his film.
While speaking during Audacy Check In, Mod and Machine Gun Kelly talked about scrapped plans for ‘Good Mourning.’ Kelly explained why Drake was not featured in the film.
In the end, Drake was far too busy to even make it for the film. In addition to that, they would have had to spend a lot of money on a jet to fly Drake to their set. This was simply not feasible for them.
“Drake was initially going to be Drake in the movie, and the schedules kept [conflicting.] Every day that Drake could actually do it – cause when you shoot a movie every day is planned – we had it where ‘Oh Drake could come this day this is what it’s gonna be,’ and the house owner couldn’t let up their house for that night, and it had to be at this place because we were very like set on every location that we found.
He was like, ‘If you send a jet we can get there on time,’ and we were like, ‘Ahh but this isn’t a Marvel movie budget.’ We would have to spend the whole movie budget on this jet.”
Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox also recently got matching tattoos on their ring fingers. The film will feature a lot of interesting stars and jokes that fans are likely to appreciate. We will have to wait and see how successfully ‘Good Mourning’ will end up becoming, as Kelly has certainly put a lot of work into it.
