Sports are among the highest paid professions in the world and many athletes have made a massive fortune with it. However, there are some exceptional athletes who even outshine everyone else in their craft and so does their income. Forbes just revealed a list of the top ten highest-paid athletes of 2022.

Forbes listed LeBron James as the highest-paid NBA player, but he didn’t land first on the list. The number one spot was claimed by Lionel Messi. The third spot was claimed by another soccer player, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Tom Brady who is a seven-time Super Bowl champion also made it into the list at ninth place with an income of a whopping $83.9 million. Interestingly enough Brady was placed in the same spot on the last year’s list.

As you can see in the list below basketball is the most-represented sport with the four athletes on the list. Whereas, soccer is second most represented with three players. Brady, however, is the only NFL athlete to make the list.
