Keenon Dequan Ray Jackson, better known by his stage name YG, is an American rapper from Compton, California. In 2010, he released his debut single, “Toot It and Boot It”, which peaked at number 67 on the Billboard Hot 100. He is also one to run afoul with the law. YG is now free of charge in connection with an alleged robbery in Sin City. His criminal case was dismissed on the morning of jury selection.

According to TMZ, sources close to the rapper say YG reached an out-of-court settlement with the alleged robbery victim. The man was no longer interested in cooperating with prosecutors in the criminal case. YG was facing a felony robbery charge for allegedly yanking a man’s chain off his neck in a 2018 altercation.

It happened at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, before fleeing with the diamond-laced pendant. YG insisted he never stole the man’s chain, though he admitted the bling snapped off during a fight. Joe Tacopina, YG’s lawyer, said that the justice was served quickly.

Justice was served expeditiously, we would’ve had the same result if the case went to trial.

The Crompton native was also recently spotted on a date with fitness model and social media personality Brittany Renner. It’s not the first time something like this has happened. As TMZ reported in January, prosecutors in Los Angeles declined to charge him because there wasn’t enough evidence to connect him to another alleged robbery.
