Rebecca Romjin Misses ‘A Lot Of Things’ About John Stamos

John Stamos and Rebecca Romjin married in 1998. They announced their separation in 2004, and John filed for divorce a few months later. Rebecca Romijn and her husband Jerry O’Connell recently opened up about Rebecca’s first marriage to John Stamos. 

According to ET, Rebecca Romijn and her spouse Jerry O’Connell discussed her love for ex-husband John Stamos openly. Jerry and Rebecca reflected on when they first started dating on the May 5 edition of The Talk, noting that Rebecca was not yet legally separated from John at the time, according to a clip acquired by Entertainment Tonight.

Jerry recalled meeting Rebecca while she was “going through” her divorce, adding that she was “bummed about it. Going through a divorce is terrible, it’s awful,” Rebecca then said. “I was with him for 10 years. Divorce feels like a failure and there were a lot of things that I had to let go of that were very sad.”

Jerry stated that Rebecca still speaks fondly of her romance with the Full House star, which ended formally in 2005. Rebecca confirmed that she has “a lot of fond memories” with John.

“When I’m with you personally, and I hear you talk about your ex-husband, it sounds like it was fun. You always have really fun memories.”

“A lot of things about him that I miss. But yeah, it’s tricky. It’s a very hard decision to come to when you decide to end a marriage. It was heartbreaking.”

The X-Men star also stated that she “finally” met John for the first time after their split, adding that the encounter took place only a few weeks ago.

“I had the girls in the car. We were sitting in afterschool traffic at a strip mall and I saw him. There he was walking right in front of the car. Cap pulled down. Sunglasses on. I went, ‘There he is girls!'”

Her daughters, whom she shares with Jerry, were perplexed as to how she could still recognize John after all this time. Rebecca said she told them, “Girls because I was with him for 10 years. I would recognize that gait from a block away.”

Rebecca continued to explain. “I recognize the way his body moves. I know that walk. I’m familiar with his body.” Why didn’t she say hello? Rebecca told Jerry, “I didn’t think my hair looked good.”
