Lynda Carter shared some sad news to her Instagram account on Sunday. The Wonder Woman veteran shared with her fans and followers that her father had passed away.

The 70-year old wrote that her father Colby Carter, a WWII veteran, has passed away. Lynda posted several flashback images of her dad over the decades. This comes a year after her husband Robert Altman died a year ago from cancer.

Lynda began her note with, “My father, Colby Carter, passed away last night at the age of 99,” She further shared that, “He was a deeply adventurous man who loved to travel, and he gave me my appreciation of this beautiful country.” She also highlighted his past as a WWII hero.

Then she discussed what a role model he was, “My dad was a steadying force early in my career, making sure I saved up early on so I could move to LA and pursue acting.” She also spoke about his role in her kids’ life. She said, “Later in life, it was the most special gift to watch him be a loving grandfather to my children. Dad, I will love and miss you forever.”
