Eminem is regarded as one of the most prominent rappers of all time. The Detroit rapper has a long list of accomplishments behind him. It seems Eminem recently dominated the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame fan voting.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ballot closed recently with a total of five million votes cast. Duran Duran, Eminem, and Pat Benatar finished in the top three, with Duran Duran receiving nearly 934,000 votes, Slim Shady receiving approximately 684,000, and Benatar receiving approximately 634,000.

The Eurythmics came in fourth place with over 440,000 votes, followed by Dolly Parton in fifth place, who withdrew from Rock Hall consideration in recent months only to reconsider her position this week. Judas Priest, Carly Simon, and Lionel Richie, who are both on the ballot for the first time in 2022, finished just outside the Top 5.

According to the Rock Hall, the number of fan votes does not guarantee admission to the prestigious Rock Hall. The top five artists chosen by the public will form a “fans’ ballot,” which will be tallied alongside the other ballots to determine the inductees for 2022 Eminem was a fan favorite from the start.

In February, he was temporarily leading by a wide margin, with Duran Duran, Pat Benatar, Dolly Parton, and the Eurythmics rounding out the Top 5. A Tribe Called Quest, Devo, Beck, Rage Against the Machine, MC5, Dionne Warwick, Fela Kuti, New York Dolls, and Kate Bush are also up for induction into the Cleveland institution. The Class of 2022 will be announced in May, followed by an induction ceremony in the fall.
