Caroline Schwitzky, best known for her appearance on “90 Day Fiancé,” is said to have survived an alleged murder attempt by her boyfriend. He tried to strangle and drown her, according to law enforcement.
Boca News Now reports that according to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers, the alleged murder attempt occurred recently in West Palm Beach, Florida. Witnesses told police Caroline and Cole Goldberg, whom she claims is her one-year boyfriend, got into a heated argument on a boat.
According to the TMZ report, witnesses told cops that Caroline tried to flee from Cole, but he was holding and aggressively grabbing her to keep her onboard. Caroline began punching Cole’s arms to free herself after about 20 minutes of struggle.
Caroline eventually managed to break free and jump off the boat, swimming toward a nearby boat, according to officers. Cole allegedly dove in after her, caught up to her in the water, and attempted to push her under. Witnesses also testified Cole grabbed Caroline by the throat with both hands, attempting to strangle her while submerging her.
Officers were told by witnesses that it all happened, they screamed at Cole to stop, but he kept holding Caroline underwater. Several people from a nearby boat jumped into the water to save her, according to the report. Caroline was dragged up and away from Cole, and they even used a stick to keep him at bay.
Cole was arrested for attempted first-degree murder. He was also subjected to a battery charge. Caroline, the CEO of a Miami talent agency who appeared on “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” in 2016, was also said to have bruises on her arm, according to the report. Cole was booked shortly after midnight Monday and released a few hours later after posting a $60,000 bond, according to jail records. TMZ contacted Cole, but have yet to hear back.
