Veteran DJ Tim Westwood found himself in the midst of controversy after several sexual assault allegations against him came to light. Multiple women claimed that he abused his position to take advantage of them.

According to The Guardian, the 64-year-old has been accused of ‘predatory sexual behavior’ by three women, while four others allege he groped them at events. According to sources, the first incident allegedly took place in 1992, while the most recent came in 2017.

The women, who are all black and do not know one another, were aged in their late teens or early 20s when they claim they were set upon by Westwood. Three of the women were aged 17, 19 and 20 at the time when Westwood engaged in “opportunistic and predatory sexual behavior” with them.

Two of them, who had aspirations of working within the music industry, claim they agreed to meet Westwood in London to discuss music, before he “initiated unwanted and unexpected sex.” A further four women say Westwood groped them while posing for a picture with the DJ after his nightclub performances.
