Will Smith continues to suffer stiff consequences for using violence at this year’s Oscars ceremony. Now Nat Geo has joined the forces in punishing Smith in their own way.

Smith’s National Geographic nature series, “Pole to Pole” which follows the 53-year-old star to the North and South Poles, was set to begin filming in three weeks. Bloomberg reported that it has been suspended until fall 2022,

According to the outlet, Smith’s 2017 sci-fi action thriller ‘Bright’ had a sequel coming but it has now been canceled. However, it was noted the cancellation is unrelated to the infamous slap at the Academy Awards ceremony.

Will Smith dealt huge damage to his career by letting his emotions get the best of him at Dolby theater. It has caused him several acting roles since. The delay in the nature series starring him is said to be result of the infamous slap.

A short while ago, Netflix put a brake on the development of Will Smith’s upcoming action-thriller film “Fast and Loose.” This action was taken directly by the streaming giant to punish the actor for the Oscars fiasco.
