Future has been as the “Toxic King” of hip-hop, but he refuses to accept the name he’s given. The rapper’s personal life has often generated controversy as people tend to take notice of his romantic life including connections to Joie Chavis, Ciara, Lori Harvey, Larsa Pippen, and Dess Dior. Recently, he touched the topic of his previous relationships.

Future was once again talk of the town after he released the music video to his single “Worst Day,” a clip that featured an appearance by controversial podcaster Kevin Samuels. It didn’t take long for fans to call him out for collaborating with another “toxic” figure who often berates women publicly. Fans claimed he was playing into his role as the “Toxic King.”

However, during Future’s cover feature with GQ, he claimed he didn’t know Samuels before collaborating in the music video. According to Future, Samuels was chosen by the video’s director. “If I knew who he was before the video, I would’ve felt like it was a typical move,”

Future added that, “People associate me with being toxic. I would’ve overthought it.” He further stated that he isn’t too concerned with what people have to say about him or the relationships he’s been involved in.

The rapper added, “People have their own definition of what toxic is,” before claiming that, “[These women] all were toxic to me. They just don’t want to admit it.” It’s certainly a controversial statement from him.

It’s safe to say the rapper has a hard time avoiding controversy and his image as the “Toxic King” has yet to wash away. Meanwhile, stay tuned to Thirsty for more updates.
