LeBron James’ contributions to the world of professional basketball cannot be understated. After suffering an injury last year and taking time off, James took a very long time to find his groove back. Thankfully, James was able to get back in form and performed very well.

James truly turned it out this season as his consistent performance in every game has helped him surpass NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record as well. That was not all he did.

Earlier this year, James made it clear that he is not closing the door on making a return to one of his previous teams – the Cleaveland Cavaliers. This came after James had stated in the past he wants to end his NBA career as part of the Los Angeles Lakers.

During his exit interview for the season, LeBron James talked about him being offered a contract extension with The Lakers. James claimed that he and Rich Paul and vice president of basketball operations Rob Pelinka cannot discuss the situation.

This is due to the NBA’s collective bargaining agreement. King James will be eligible for an extension on August 4, 2022, as reported by HoopsHype.

“Myself and Rich [Paul] can’t even begin to talk to Rob [Pelinka] and the front office because of the collective bargaining agreement. When we get to that point, we’ll see.”

LeBron James returning to the Cleaveland Cavaliers might just be what he needs as they are very different from the Los Angeles Lakers. We’ll have to see whether LeBron James will leave the Lakers or not.
