Back in March at UFC 259, Bantamweight Champion Petr Yan put his title on the line against Aljamain Sterling. This took place in the third to last fight of the event at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. The fight ended in controversy after Yan hit Sterling with an illegal knee during the 4th round. This led to Sterling winning the title via disqualification, a first in UFC history.

Fast forward to now, Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling had their rematch in the co-main event of the UFC 273 pay-per-view Saturday night at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. Aljamain Sterling ended up defeating Petr Yan via split decision.

While speaking during his post-fight interview with commentator Joe Rogan, Petr Yan claimed that he got robbed and wants a rematch.

“I think I won this fight and I got robbed. I think I won three rounds out of five. I want rematch. I want rematch.”

We will have to wait and see whether Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan will end up having another fight or not. Fans would love to see a third fight between the two for certain.
