Adam Scott has been avoiding gatherings lately. He recently missed screening of the finale of his hit show “Severance.” The actor is taking his time recovering from COVID-19. He addressed his absence in a video package that ran before the screening.

Due to the illness Scott has been stuck in Costa Rica, he spoke about his situation in the video package and expressed gratitude towards the show’s director, Ben Stiller, creator, Dan Erickson, along with a host of other people.

“Hi everybody, I am so sorry I can’t be there tonight to celebrate ‘Severance’ with you all.” he began

“I am stuck in Costa Rica with good old COVID.”

While Scott was bummed to miss the screening, he didn’t forget to cease the moment to make audience laugh with his joke in the pre-recorded video.

“I can’t even tell you how bummed I am to miss this,” Scott added.

“First of all, it’s Patricia Arquette’s birthday today,” he told the audience, joking, “She likes to do things like this on her birthday … She’s the most amazing person.

The screening of the show took place at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles on Friday night. Scott also mentioned that he tested positive for the virus and wasn’t able to come back into the country. Back in august 2021 “Severance” actor revealed he previously had COVID-19 in February.
