Bill Maher is one of the most recognizable political commentators in the United States. Maher’s opinions are often controversial and this is no different. The “Real Time” host never lets that get in the way of a good discussion. It seems he recently chimed in on the Oscars slapping incident.

Maher had a fiery reaction to Chris Rock’s hair joke, which allegedly sparked Will Smith’s smack. The “Real Time” host said that if Alopecia is the worst she’s got, she’s a lucky woman. He went on to say that as part of the ageing process, 80 percent of men and 50 percent of women lose their hair.

If you are so lucky in life as to have that be your medical problem, just say, ‘thanks God.’ It’s not life threatening.

Maher said he halted when he initially heard Jada had alopecia and wondered if Chris Rock went truly over the line. But then he turned to his rusty trusty Google and learned more about alopecia, and his perspective suddenly altered. In the end, he came to the decision that it wasn’t a huge deal.

Bill stated that with her shorn head, Demi Moore, star of “G.I. Jane,” never looked hotter. Maher then looked at it from a different perspective, claiming Chris’ joke was actually a praise. As TMZ previously reported, both their Chris Rock and Will Smith sources recognize that there has been a smoldering feud between them since 2016, when Jada announced her intention to boycott the Oscars due to a lack of inclusivity, and she and Will wanted Chris to go.

Chris’ response, according to reports, was that he was hosting the Oscars as a Black man, which said more than a boycott. During the show, he made a few jabs at both Will and Jada, and they were never the same after that. According to multiple sources, the hair joke was the final straw in the camel’s back.
