Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Academy Awards and created an infamous moment that be forever remembered. As you may know, Chris is a comedian by profession, and with that comes bittersweet jokes that some like and some don’t. However, the incident at the Oscars proved to be blessing for the American comedian.

Smith shocked everyone when he went off-script at the Oscars, and it followed a lot of criticism for the actor by fans around the world. Chris, on the other hand, and surprisingly, garnered a lot of praise for the showmanship he displayed, and it is well reflected in the ticket sales of his ongoing tour.

Making everyone laugh is not an easy job, but when it comes to putting chuckles on the faces of the audience, Chris is an expert. He is an excellent comedian, and now he has seen more increase in fanbase after the joke he pulled at the Oscars targeting Will’s wife, Jada.

The dramatic moment inspired a lot of people viewers to purchase tickets to see Rock perform live; one secondary ticketing marketplace, TickPick, reported that they have sold more tickets to the comedian’s tour overnight than they did in the past month combined.

The market platform also claimed that ticket prices have surged since Sunday night, going up from a minimum of $46 per ticket on March 18 to a minimum of $341. Seems like Rock has a bright future ahead of him, and he is on the way to making bank following the dramatic incident.
