John Cena is one of WWE’s biggest exports to Hollywood and there’s no denying that. The 16-time world champion has garnered much praise for his role as Peacemaker in HBO Max’s series of the same name.

Cena took to Twitter Tuesday (March 22) to react to rapper Murs sharing a clip from his hit song “H-U-S-T-L-E.” For those who don’t know, Cena was featured on the track that was released way back in 2004.

Murs gave a shout out to Cena and said that the pro-wrestler-turned-Hollywood actor arrived to shoot the video fresh off the set of The Marine, did his part and then signed autographs and pictures with fans.

This is me & @JohnCena in South Central at my fam’s Dry Cleaners. He came in a rental fresh off the set of the Marine. Rose gold Diamond studded watch. No security. Did his part. Then kicked it w/kids, crackheads, and gangbangers for 3 hrs til everyone got a pic or an autograph.

Cena responded by thanking the former Living Legends rapper and said that Murs believed in him at a time when many doubted his abilities and that it helped improve his confidence.

Wanted to thank you for believing in me when few did. For someone of your ability to give me a chance helped my confidence more than you know! Feels like it was just yesterday…but maybe because my days feel about 15 years long sometimes.

Cena is currently busy doing Hollywood stuff. He will be seen alongside Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa and others in Fast & Furious 10. Cena will be reprising his role as Jakob Toretto, brother of Diesel’s Dominic Toretto.
