The NFL is shaking things up with a blockbuster trade. Now the league could look a lot different next season thanks to this big move.

Deshaun Watson is headed to Cleveland Browns in a new massive NFL deal. The quarterback waived his no-trade clause Friday which allowed him to be traded to Cleveland.

The trade speculation involving Watson has been around since the early offseason. This is when he demanded a trade from the organization. He has finally landed in Cleveland to put an end to talks.

The massive deal nets Watson a whopping $230 million contract. The former Texan quarterback has been on field since the 2020 season due to 22 civil lawsuits accusing him of sexual misconduct.

He recently breathed a sigh of relief when Texas jury found the evidence against him lacking a solid backing hence leading the court to not charge him on nine criminal count. Following the jury’s decision Watson said in an interview that he wanted to focus on getting back into football and focus on his career.

The jury’s conclusion fueled the market for Watson’s trade, and he couldn’t be happier. However, Watson is not in the clear, yet as other lawsuits were outside filed outside Texas are yet to be resolved, but it seems with the recent legal win, he is ready to take others head-on.
