Gable Steveson is one of the most decorated amateur wrestlers in the world today. The WWE signee has already earned an Olympic gold medal and one NCAA wrestling national championship. Today, Steveson heads to Detroit looking for even more.

Gable Steveson caught the eye of WWE after his dominant career showed no signs of stopping. WWE signed Steveson to the first of many collegiate NIL deals. Gable is expected to eventually be a major star for the company.

Today, Gable Steveson’s mind is on the mat. The Minnesota Golden Gophers star will compete for his second national title today. The NCAA Championships are set to take place at Detroit’s Little Caesar’s Arena. Steveson said he has always worked towards this moment, according to CBS 4 Minnesota.

“We got the beginning of the match, where you can tell I’m serious but I’m out there trying to enjoy myself. And then as the mask goes on you can tell like a character builds, like you can see like if I take you down right away I’m gonna give the crowd a look and they’re gonna cheer.

And then I’m like refreshed, and then I’m gonna let you up. So it’s like step after step after step. It’s cool, it’s like, it’s just like my thought process and how I go about matches.”

Gable Steveson said he would love to follow in the footsteps of his favorite star, The Rock. Dwayne Johnson competed at a high level at the University of Miami. Steveson is looking to follow that same path to superstardom.
