Traci Braxton Passes Away After Esophageal Cancer Battle

Traci Braxton, American singer, reality television/radio personality passed away. Braxton died from esophageal cancer on March 11, 2022. She was only 50 years old.

Traci Braxton left us too soon. According to TMZ, the Braxton Family Values star passed away Friday (March 11) from cancer. The Sinners Wanted actress had been privately battling cancer for a year.

Traci was reportedly surrounded by her sisters and mom when she passed away. Traci is sister to famous music artist Toni Braxton. Toni is one of the best-selling female R&B artists in history.

Traci’s other famous sisters include Tawanda, Trina and singer-TV personality Tamar. In 2018, Traci along with Toni, Tawanda, and Trina recorded “Broken Things.” Traci recorded her own song “Last Call” in 2014, that rose to #16 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart.

Traci’s Husband Kevin Surratt spoke to TMZ after her passing. He said, “We have come to a time where we must inform the public that after a year of privately undergoing a series of treatment for Esophageal cancer our beloved Traci Braxton has gone on to glory.”

In her acting career, Traci starred in There’s A Stranger in My House, The Christmas Lottery, All In, and more. She also earned producer credits. Traci leaves behind a husband and son, Kevin Surrat and Kevin Surrat, Jr.
