Latto made a name for herself being a rapper. She first appeared on the reality television series The Rap Game in 2016 where she ended up winning the first season. It seems she has no intention of choosing between two top female rappers as well.

The 22-year-old has received a ton of praise for her Halloween getups last year. This included a tribute to Mariah Carey and then legendary model Naomi Campbell.

Superfans can be both a boon and a curse depending on the situation. Despite the rise in popularity for a star, the toxicity associated with a particular star’s fanbase is never good either.

While speaking with Ebro in the Morning, Latto talked about having to deal with Nicki Minaj’s Barbz and then went on to explain why she would never pick sides between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B.

“You have to tread lightly with stan culture. Like, ‘I’m team this and I’m gon’ die about it.’ I be like, ‘Hands up, don’t shoot me.’… For instance, I had clapped back, I’m still a New School baby, I’m still young. I’m still tryin’ to turn the other cheek, they tryin’ to still teach me that. So, I’m responding to somebody, I’m clapping back and somebody and they like, ‘Oh, you’re purposely responding to Nicki Minaj pages!

I don’t care what club, gang, street you bang, I don’t give a f*ck! It’s not ill intent. Everybody knows Nicki is my favorite, you can go look on the internet, I got interviews talking about standing in line for Pink Friday.

Latto certainly has a bright future ahead of her and it is clear she couldn’t care less what her critics think about her life. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Latto.
