Amari Cooper was a wonderful wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, but his time there has come to an end. Amid missing two games due to Covid, Amari pulled in 68 balls for 865 yards and 8 touchdowns. Fans will be amazed to know that Amari Cooper has been traded to the Browns in exchange for future draft picks.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Dallas Cowboys are reportedly sending the star wide receiver Amari Cooper and a sixth-round pick to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a 2022 fifth-round pick and a sixth-round pick. If Cooper passes his physical, the transaction is anticipated to be consummated next week.

The Browns are seeking to rebuild their receiving weaponry after losing Odell Beckham Jr. to the Los Angeles Rams last season. Jarvis Landry has reportedly been notified by the organization that he is free to seek a trade.

Landry’s contract has one year left on it and he dues $16.6 million. That being said, none of the remaining money is guaranteed. Cooper was selected as the fourth overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. After multiple Pro Bowl seasons in Oakland, he joined the Cowboys in 2018.

On March 20, his $20 million salaries would have become guaranteed for the Cowboys. CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys’ first-round pick in 2020, is expected to take over as the team’s top receiver. Michael Gallup is currently negotiating a multi-year contract with Dallas, which would keep him with the team that drafted him in 2018.

The Cowboys traded such a wonderful player. Hopefully, it will not affect the game. Fans have to wait until the physical to see if Cooper passes to make it on the Browns. For further updates stay tuned to Thirsty.
