Rene Nezhoda loves finding hidden treasure. The “Storage Wars” star buys abandoned storage units and flips the most valuable finds as a career. The show has been extremely popular because of its unpredictable nature. Everybody wants to believe they can find something of value where there appears to be none.

The latest find for Rene Nezhoda was a huge one. Rene found a locker with tons of Florence Griffith Joyner memorabilia. Joyner famously dominated the 1988 Summer Olympics. The storage unit was purchased by a friend eight years ago, according to TMZ.

The unit was located in the San Diego, California area. It cost several thousand dollars to buy the contents. It appears the haul was worth the investment.

Rene got Florence’s Olympic jacket and even a signed pair of track shoes. These were the very sneakers FloJo wore when she captured Olympic gold in the 100 and 200-meter dash. Joyner won three gold medals in all that year.

The collection also included rare photos, magazines, and autographed Florence Joyner Barbie dolls. It is a sports collector’s dream. Fans will still have a chance to get in on the action.

Rene said he plans to sell the Joyner collection on eBay or through Heritage Auctions. If a member of the Joyner family is interested, a deal could be worked out there as well. You never know what you’ll find when you buy one of these storage units. This particular one was a huge hit!
