Shanna Moakler’s on-again-off-again boyfriend, Matthew Rondeau, was arrested and charged with serious domestic violence. However, according to reports, Shanna has been issued an emergency protective order against him.

After Matthew was charged with felony domestic abuse on Thursday, an officer granted the Miss USA alum a protective order against the “Murder Party” star according to documents acquired by Us Weekly.

“[Rondeau] grabbed victim by the hair, [swinging] her by hair on the ground.” the report said of the claimed altercation between the two. Rondeau then “grabbed [Moakler’s] face and neck, threw chair at victim and urinated on [her], leaving visible injuries.”

The police report also notes that firearms were seized. Moakler, who has been dating the actor since 2020, has yet to seek a restraining order, and the emergency protection order is only in effect until March 3rd morning.

According to the document, he must not “harass, attack, strike, threaten, [or] assault” the “Celebrity Big Brother” star and he must not contact her “by any means.” Rondeau must also stay at least 100 yards away from her and vacate her home immediately, according to the requirements.

After taking a break from their relationship, the couple reunited in October 2021. Their relationship took a turn for the worst when Rondeau stormed out at Moakler on social media, calling her a series of obscenities and expletives before accusing her of cheating. The aspiring actor had been bickering with Travis Barker’s ex-wife since Wednesday, and things allegedly “got physical” the next morning.

Rondeau was eager to respond to the charges on Instagram after his arrest. “You know I’d never lay a hand on another Woman. My Mother is my Angel and my Best Friend. She raised me right,” he wrote on his Instagram story. However, through her manager, David Weintraub, Moakler told the PageSix that “social media saved her life.”

Weintraub said:

“She is OK and survived this traumatic experience. Thankfully the police saved her from harm’s way and she is doing fine. At the moment, she asks that she is given her space to adjust to life after this trauma.”

We will continue monitoring this story here at Thirsty. There is certainly a lot to unpack here.
