Kanye West revealed Donda 2 to the world last night. A huge event was set up to debut his new record in Miami, Florida. Things didn’t go quite as planned as audio problems plagued the event. Kanye still found time to pay tribute to an old friend.

Virgil Abloh was a major influence on Kanye’s life. The street fashion icon worked with Kanye on various projects. Ye considered him a close friend.

During the Donda 2 event, Kanye unleashed a track that paid tribute to his old friend. In one line, West revealed that he no longer does business with Louis Vuitton. The bar came in the track “Louis Bags” featuring Jack Harlow.

“I stopped buying Louis bags after Virgil passed”

Rumors have been going around that Kanye West might take over Virgil’s spot at Louis Vuitton. Ye shut down that notion in another lyric in the song. West rapped, “We ain’t doin’ business, it won’t be no business.”

It doesn’t sound like Kanye West is interested in a Louis Vuitton without Virgil Abloh. Abloh’s creative work was an inspiration to Kanye. Without him, the company doesn’t exist in the Chicago rapper’s eyes.

Virgil Abloh served as the creative director for Ye’s Donda firm. The two had a bond that many in business never experience. After his friend’s loss, Kanye has moved on.
