Last night we witnessed one of the best Super Bowl halftime performances of all time. According to Dr. Dre, he is still celebrating the success of it. He appeared on TMZ to talk about the super Sunday and NFL’s minor involvement in their bit.

Dre was extremely surprised when he went into rehearsals, he expected NFL to censor the songs heavily, but they only made some minor changes. Dre said one of those was Kendrick’s specific reference to L.A. gangs.

Dre said he understands why that specific gang reference had to be removed. When it comes to Eminem taking the knee, Dre revealed it’s something that Em decided to do on his own. To his knowledge, he didn’t hear anything from NFL about it.

Dre further detailed he went to his house to hang out with friends, including Mary J. and Don Cheadle, where they toasted their success with a dinner.

Dre accidentally might just have leaked that he is working on Mary J. for some project, as he went to say he wasn’t supposed to say that after uttering it.
