Heather McDonald had an extremely scary moment while performing on stage recently in Tempe, Arizona. The Chelsea Lately Comedian turned podcaster was doing a set that went wrong. After making a joke about being vaccinated against COVID, she suddenly collapsed.

McDonald hit her head on the floor and paramedics rushed to the scene. Fortunately, the audience contained an EMT and a medic who administered first aid while further help was on the way. Many fans thought the fall was all a part of the act.

A representative for Heather McDonald has provided TMZ with an update on her condition. Heather suffered a skull fracture in the fall. Tests are underway to determine what caused her to black out. The comedian was not drinking alcohol and tested negative for COVID.

McDonald refused treatment from the arriving ambulance. Instead, she was transported in her sister-in-law’s personal vehicle to a local hospital where she was treated. The injury doesn’t appear to be life-threatening.

The incident occurred at the Tempe Improv where Heather was highlighting the evening’s entertainment. The set had just started and she was only on her second joke when the fall took place. Fortunately, Heather didn’t suffer a worse fate.

Hopefully Heather McDonald is able to get some answers from all the tests she’s been undergoing. It was a scary moment, but it looks like she’ll be fine. This will probably all eventually become a part of Heather’s routine, as all great comics have a knack for making fun of themselves.
