Beanie Sigel’s status as one of the original Roc-A-Fella capos in the late ’90s and early ’00s ensures that his name is respected not only in his hometown of Philadelphia, but throughout Hip Hop.

Despite the fact that his music output has slowed dramatically due to a series of health setbacks and legal issues, the Broad Street Bully is still capable of dropping a verse or two. He’s gearing prepared to re-appear on one of the biggest album sequels of 2022, based on a recent set of photographs published on Instagram.

On Saturday, Sigel shared photographs and videos of himself on the mike and in the same room as Kanye West. While the two originally collaborated on “The Truth” from Sigel’s debut album The Truth in 2000, Sigel revealed that their most recent collaboration is maybe even more significant.

“Donda 2 sheesh!!!” he shouted in the caption, naming both Ye and DaBaby.

Since Ye produced three of Sigel’s songs in the early 2000s, the Roc reunion would be the first on wax between the two. After “The Truth,” Ye and Sigel collaborated on “Nothing Like It” and “Gangsta Gangsta,” both off Sigel’s 2001 album The Reason.

Following Ye’s controversial appearance on the Drink Champs podcast in November, the pair’s relationship came back into focus. Ye offered Sigel honors after revealing the true roots of the Yeezy moniker. Ye would eventually offer Sigel a lucrative $50 million payday, but Sigel would decline.
