Jersey Shore caused a sensation when it’s brash cast of young New Jersey residents took the world by storm in 2009. Three years and several spin-offs later, the show remains a pop culture touchstone. The Bamboo Bar became a famous tourist destination before it was destroyed. America became captivated with the drama-filled lives of Pauly D, Snooki, Jwoww and friends.

Plenty of controversial footage from the Jersey Shore house made the air. There was also a lot that never saw the light of day. Some of that video was salacious.

Pauly D recently appeared on the Full Send podcast. The Jersey Shore star discussed what it was like to always be filmed. Pauly noted that the cameras never went away, even during intimate moments.

“We’d bring these girls home or whatever, and then all they can actually film is like alright the covers going on us so you know what happens. But they don’t actually film the act. [They do film it]… They have that footage somewhere.”

“So like that’s in a safe somewhere. Like those are our sex tapes. There’s a lot of them. I want to sell those some day.”

Pauly said when the show first started airing, it was completely unscripted. The group had a list of places they could go based on where they had permission to film and the cast did their own thing from there. Eventually, the series and its spin-offs took on a more structured format.

Jersey Shore fans would love to get their hands on some of that hidden footage. It isn’t likely it will ever see the light of day. Pauly D knows what the cameras caught; he’s just hoping it never gets released.
