Johnny Knoxville has been one of the most unlikely success stories in Hollywood history. Jackass: Forever marks the sixth film in the series. For the uninitiated, the title of the series says it all. Knoxville and his friends do stupid and dangerous things on camera for a laugh.

Professional wrestling is a stupid and dangerous thing for the untrained to try. Johnny Knoxville is set to compete in the 2022 WWE Royal Rumble match. Knoxville said he has been training 24/7 since getting the offer to wrestle.

In his recent appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Johnny told the story of how he was approached to take part in the match. Knoxville said he was doing some promotion for the movie backstage at WWE. At that point, the head writer simply asked him if he wanted to do it.

“We we’re doing a promotion backstage at WWE and their head writer took me out in the hall and he asked me, ‘Hey, do you wanna make a run for the Rumble?’ and I was like, ‘Yeah! what do you mean?’ and he said, ‘The Royal Rumble!’ and I was like ‘Oh yeah! For sure!’

Since then, I’ve been training 24/7 Howard. I’ve been flipping huge truck tired over the fence and the neighbors are so angry. Those tires weigh the same as that pretty boy Austin Theory.”

We’ll have to see how Johnny Knoxville does in the squared circle. The Jackass star is having a blast living the wrestling life. The WWE Royal Rumble premium live event airs this Saturday night on Peacock. Knoxville is hoping to earn himself a WWE Championship match at WrestleMania. The paycheck will probably be a nice consolation prize.
